Martina McBride is going to be a grandmother!
McBride, 59, shared on Instagram on Thursday afternoon (April 23) that her eldest daughter s pregnant with her first baby. The country music icon and her husband of nearly four decades, Jim McBride, share daughters Delaney McBride, 31, Emma McBride, 28, and Ava McBride, 20.
“My first baby is having a baby!!!!! We are so excited and happy to be welcoming our first grandchild. We are blessed indeed,” the singer-songwriter shared on Instagram, setting the post to her 2001 single, “Blessed.” McBride’s post offered a glimpse of printed photos of the parents-to-be, and of Delaney cradling her baby bump.
McBride’s daughter is one of the latest in the country music community to announce a baby on the way in 2026. Country legend Alan Jackson revealed on Christmas Day 2025 that all three of his daughters were pregnant. Emmy Russell, former American Idol contestant and late legend Loretta Lynn’s granddaughter, is expecting Baby No. 2 with husband Tyler Ward, and Texas-born country star Parker McCollum has another son on the way with wife Hallie Ray Light McCollum, to name a few.
