Kenny Chesney Teases Carefree, Summer-Worthy Anthem With New Sneak Peek

Kenny Chesney teased an unreleased, carefree anthem that’s set to arrive this spring.

The 2025 Country Music Hall of Fame inductee revealed a sneak peek of “Carry On,” a single that’s slated to make its debut on Friday, May 8. “Here’s to hitting the reset button in your life,” Chesney wrote in the caption of an Instagram post announcing the release date for “Carry On” on Wednesday (April 22). Chesney sings on the unreleased song: “Carry on, carry on/ If it feels good do it, if it doesn’t then don’t/ Carry on, carry on/ Yeah, man, you gotta carry on.”

Chesney’s latest studio record is Born, an album that arrived in March 2024 with the title track, “Just To Say We Did,” “Take Her Home,” “Wherever You Are Tonight” and more. An 18-track extended album included three live renditions from 2018 concerts in Chicago, Illinois, and Nashville, Tennessee. Born added to a growing list of unforgettable music spanning the country hitmaker’s career, along with “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy,” “I Go Back,” “Get Along,” “There Goes My Life,” “Beer In Mexico,” “When the Sun Goes Down,” “How Forever Feels” and much more.
