A fan popped the question to his now- fiancée during a recent event at Luke Combs’ bar in downtown Nashville, Tennessee.
Combs teamed up with Opry Entertainment Group to open Category 10 — named with inspiration from his 2016 breakout single, “Hurricane” — in November 2024 (the final part of the bar, the rooftop level known as The Eye, opened earlier this year). Category 10’s official Instagram account shared a glimpse of that moment, captioning the clip: “When you find your five leaf clover at Category 10 🍀💍 Congratulations, Dave and Kaitlin! 👏👏”
The clip opens with onlookers in the crowd cheering as Dave knelt down with a ring. Luke Combs UK Tribute band took the stage, and the singer — striking an uncanny resemblance to Combs himself — called attention to “something special” happening in the crowd. He explained that Combs “means the absolute world” to the couple, and told Kaitlin that her boyfriend “wants to ask you something.” The country star’s wife, Nicole Combs, was among thousands of Instagram users to react to that moment.
Combs took the stage at his sold out “Big Kickoff Concert” at Category 10 on Tuesday (April 15), launching a week of grand opening celebrations. The North Carolina-born singer-songwriter performed his career-spanning hits and offered sneak peeks of unreleased music; however, he has not announced a release date as of publication time. Combs said when his bar officially opened that it’s “a dream come true, and I am excited to share it with y'all. This a fan first venue with a little something for everybody.”
