"We don't have the answers we need when it comes to understanding the pandemic and the future, but we do know where a used cup goes." Basically, a lot of us are near our breaking points. No more finger lickin’ good …KFC is temporarily suspending its "Finger Lickin' Good" slogan in light of the coronavirus pandemic. Colonel Sanders has decided that the 64-year-old slogan "doesn't quite fit in the current environment." The company issued a statement saying, "While we are pausing the use of “It’s Finger Lickin’ Good,” rest assured the food craved by so many people around the world isn’t changing one bit." KFC says it will bring the slogan back "when the time is right." (USA Today)
Can’t decide between pizza, burgers and tacos for dinner?Now you don’t have to. This week, Domino’s is rolling out two new pizzas: chicken taco and cheeseburger. The cheeseburger pizza has a ketchup and mustard sauce; ground beef; American, cheddar and provolone cheese; tomatoes and onions. The chicken taco pizza includes grilled chicken, taco seasoning, green peppers, onions and three cheeses. (Thrillist)
Google changing the higher-ed game …Google wants to change the mindset that in order to have a successful career you have to go to college and eventually graduate school. Instead of saddling yourself with a lifetime of debt, consider "Google Career Certificates." The tech giant is offering a variety of 6-month course programs designed to help young people gain the skills they need to acquire high-paying and high-growth jobs -- at a fraction of the cost of a 4-year degree or more. Google has also set up career services with more than 50 large companies that not only accept the “Google Career Certificates” as degree equivalents, but want to hire students who complete the program. They are also actively adding employers to their roster of companies seeking employees. The courses are completely online. (Inc.)
