The Erie Community Foundation began Erie Gives back in 2011 to celebrate the Foundation's 75th anniversary. Since then, it has grown into a HUGE day for local non-profits and it's a day where the Erie community really does give...and we give big. Last year, when the E.C.F reviewed the traffic on their website, they found that at their peak through out the day, they had 16,000 users on their site at once! 16,000!!! And they had visitors from 50 states and 23 countries, too. So even those no longer in Erie keep us in mind!
This year, there are 394 non-profits vetted and registered for Erie Gives.
If you are wondering why you should give today, as opposed to just a 'regular' day, here's why: Each and every gift today receives an extra amount. For example, last year the pro-rated match was 4.2% to each gift. For 2019, the pro-rated match total is $295,000!
