I grew up on artists Vince Gill and Collin Raye and George Strait. 80's and 90's country. "I Still Believe in You" and "When I Call Your Name" from Vince are still some of my favorite songs.
Vince Gill has 18 CMA Awards to his name. He's won 21 Grammys. He's a songwriter and producer and has collaborated with artists Barbra Streisand, Eric Clapton, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, George Jones, Chris Young, and others. Hence the icon status.
