The Bobby Bones Show seems to be having issues with cars lately.
Eddie shared a story about being flipped off by a kid while driving. He said he was trying to turn right from the middle lane and needed to merge over. He put his blinker on, but said he accidentally cut off a minivan that was in his blind spot. The driver honked, and Eddie saw a woman laying on the horn behind him. As the minivan pulled up next to him and honked again, Eddie looked over and saw a 10-year-old kid in the passenger seat giving him the middle finger. Eddie was shocked by it and couldn’t believe a kid that young was doing that. He said he felt like the behavior was taught and didn’t find it funny. He explained that while people get upset about dangerous driving, he didn’t intentionally cut anyone off and felt bad about the situation.
Morgan shared that she was almost hit by a car in a Walgreens parking lot when a driver sped out of a parking spot. The woman seemed angry at whatever altercation she just had with the car next to her and sped off from her spot. The car came so close to Morgan that she felt the wind from it and stood there in shock afterward, unsure what might happen next. The story reminded Amy of a friend who was hit by a car in a parking lot years earlier and was hospitalized for a long time.
Lunchbox then provided an update on his car accident. He said he had spoken with insurance but was still waiting on the police report, explaining that it takes several days to move through multiple levels of approval before being finalized. He had not yet taken the car to the body shop because they could not get him in for a few days. Once the car is taken in, he said he would be able to get a rental. Lunchbox's back was still sore, with the third day after the accident being the worst. He said getting out of bed and lifting his kids had been difficult, but he was still coming to work. He reiterated that the accident was not his fault.
