Jason Aldean said his wife, Brittany Aldean, “absolutely crushed it,” when the married duo teamed up on a duet for the first time.

Jason and Brittany released “Easier Gone,” and recently debuted the new Fireside Sessions, where they spoke about “how it all came together.” The Aldeans shared a clip from the Q&A on Instagram on Monday (March 16), including how they agreed “Easier Gone” was the “right song” at the “right time” for their first-ever collaboration. Brittany shared that she was “obviously nervous,” but the team was “so great…and they step-by-step walked me through it. I feel like it turned out so good.”

“You were easier gone/ You were easier outta this town/ Hey, I almost had this lettin’ you go thing figured out/ Yeah, it was easy to lie/ To myself on a Friday night/ When I wasn’t face to face with how good you look moving on/ Yeah, you were easier gone.”

Jason said he often hears his wife sing at home, and “she crushed it” in the studio. Watch the Q&A here, and watch the Fireside Sessions below.

“It means the world when one of my songs helps someone through a hard time—or celebrates their best moments,” Jason said in a statement when he first announced album details. “This album is about all of that—the highs, the lows, and everything in between. Every track started with a real story or feeling, and together we turned those experiences into music. In the end, I realized this album is about all of us. These are songs about us.”

Jason recently announced his headlining “Songs About Us Tour,” which includes special guests Chase MatthewMackenzie Carpenter and Dee Jay Silver. See the list of dates below.
