Jason Aldean and his wife, Brittany Aldean, put a new spin on their first-ever duet.

The Aldeans delivered an acoustic rendition of “Easier Gone.” The fireside sessions premiered on Wednesday afternoon (March 11). The married couple debuted their highly-anticipated collaboration from Jason’s upcoming 20-track studio record, Songs About Us. Charles KelleyJosh KerrDave Haywood and Jimmy Robbins teamed up to write the song, which offers “a deeper look into the emotional breadth” of the upcoming record. Songs About Us will arrive on April 24. So far, Jason has released a few other tracks from the project, including “How Far Does A Goodbye Go,” which features Brittany in the retro, 70s-inspired music video.

“You were easier gone/ You were easier outta this town/ Hey, I almost had this lettin’ you go thing figured out/ Yeah, it was easy to lie/ To myself on a Friday night/ When I wasn’t face to face with how good you look moving on/ Yeah, you were easier gone.”

Every track started with a real story or feeling, and together we turned those experiences into music. In the end, I realized this album is about all of us. These are songs about us.”
