Jelly Roll features his wife, Bunnie Xo, in the music video that he premiered in honor of International Women’s Day on Sunday (March 8).
The three-time Grammy winner wrote “Thorns” with Rocky Block, Ryan Vojtesak, Ilsey Juber and Taylor Delmar Phillips. The heartfelt tribute to Bunnie Xo made its debut on February 13, in time for Valentine’s Day. Jelly Roll shared a sneak peek of the song before its release when he celebrated the Dumb Blonde podcast host and Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic author’s birthday on January 22.
“To my beautiful, intelligent, compassionate, graceful wife, and newly New York Times best selling author, I’ll never be able to thank you enough for making me complete. You truly saved my life,” Jelly Roll wrote in a caption on Instagram on Sunday. “Today is International Women’s Day. They say behind every good man is a great woman, and I know thats damn true for me y’all.” He included a Bible verse: “‘God is within her, she will not fall.’ -Psalm 46:5.” Watch the full music video below.
Jelly Roll, 41, and Bunnie Xo, 46, met more in 2015. They got married in a spontaneous wedding in Las Vegas in 2016, and returned to the same chapel to renew their vows in 2023. Bunnie Xo opened up about hoping to welcome twins via surrogate. Twins would join big siblings Bailee Ann, 17, and Noah Buddy, 9, Jelly Roll’s two children from previous relationships.
