Kacey Musgraves is stirring anticipation for her sixth studio album with bold teasers, including on social media and on billboards.

The history-making Grammy winner, 37, has posted several cryptic teasers over the last few days, including a photo of a billboard that reads, “Dry spell? Call for a real good time.” The phone number leads callers to a voicemail, saying, “This is Kacey Musgraves, and you’ve reached the middle of nowhere. No service available. Please try again later or press 1 for a real good time.” The recording continues with a sneak peek of an unreleased song before the call ends.

Most recently, Musgraves posted a snippet of the unreleased song (appearing to be titled “Dry Spell”) with a cheeky clip on Instagram and TikTok. She wrote in the caption, “you up?” Expired recent slides on her Instagram story have also prompted questions as to whether Musgraves is in a feud with fellow Texas-born country artist Miranda Lambert, or whether the pair teamed up on an upcoming collaboration. Musgraves and Lambert have not publicly commented on the rumors as of publication time on Monday (March 9).

Musgraves said on a slide on her Instagram story that “the dry spell ends Wednesday [March 11].” Another slide shows a record labeled “KM6” spinning while playing the same voicemail recording and sneak peek: “You’ve reached the middle of nowhere. No service available. Please try again later or press 1 for a real good time.”

KM6 will follow Deeper Well, Musgraves’s fifth studio album that she released in March 2024. She expanded the record into a 21-track deluxe edition in August 2024. Since then, she’s released “Lost Highway,” “If The World Burns Down” from the Nobody Wants This soundtrack and more. Find her music on iHeartRadio here.
