Adam Sanders is engaged!

The singer-songwriter announced on Tuesday morning (March 3) that he popped the question to his longtime girlfriend, Nancy Villaseñor. Sanders proposed to Villaseñor under an arch of dazzling lights. He shared the news of is recent engagement with a sneak peek of “It Was Always You,” a romantic unreleased ballad he wrote for his fiancée. Sanders said in a statement: I feel like my life is hitting on all cylinders right now both professionally and personally. I couldn’t be happier with the paths God has led me down. I’m really excited to start this new chapter in our lives.”

Sanders, 37, from Lake City, Florida, marked a major career milestone when he was crowned the winner of the inaugural season of The Road in December 2025. Country superstar Blake Shelton and Yellowstone’s Taylor Sheridan teamed up to executive produce the competition show, which featured a dozen rising artists who competed by opening for Keith Urban on tour. Their performances determined whether the singer advanced to the next city. Gretchen Wilson provided support as tour manager. Sanders earned a place among the top three finalists (along with Cassidy Daniels and Channing Wilson) during the finale, which took place at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. The Road winner earned $250,000, a recording contract and a chance to perform at the 2026 Stagecoach Festival. Stagecoach is set for April 24 through April 26 at Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. Sanders will take the stage at the iconic festival on Sunday, April 26. Some of Sanders’ most recent releases include “Cat in a Hat,” “Bible In A House Fire” and “Get It If You Didn’t.” His upcoming single and performance of “His to Mine” will be featured in Sheridan’s new series, Marshals, next month.
