Thomas Rhett’s sister-in-law, Macy Page, opened up a bout a recent cancer diagnosis in a candid Instagram post on Thursday (February 5).
Page, reportedly 33, admitted that she’d had a “rocky start” to 2026. “I want to start by saying God is so GOOD. He is gracious. He is kind. He is gentle. He is FAITHFUL. He is loving. He is healer,” she wrote in a caption on Instagram. Page went on to share that she’d been diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer last month, and she’s set to begin chemotherapy on Tuesday (February 10).
“It definitely came as a shock and rocked our world a bit, but let me tell you something—God has a plan, and this is HIS story,” she wrote. “My wordddd you guys it has been so evident from the beginning! He has truly been in every. single. detail. From seeing [Bridget] profile and deciding to randomly do a self check, to getting the news it’s in my lymph nodes but nowhere else, to the people He’s connected me with (breast cancer survivors, doctors, family friends), to crucial doctors appointments opening up unexpectedly, down to the scripture He’s had me open to at random—He is carrying me through this and is fighting for me! And the prayers & support I’ve gotten from my family, friends, friends of friends and so on is just ABUNDANT.
“My number one prayer through all of this is that the Lord brings as many people to Jesus as He can, because the reality is, we live in a broken world,” Page continued. “There’s pain and suffering all around us, but thank God that’s not where it has to end. That’s not what we have to fix our eyes on—we fix our eyes on Jesus, that He came to earth perfect and blameless, to die for our sins so that we can have eternal LIFE with Him. There’s just no other way to explain peace in a situation like this other than Jesus and the hope that we have in Him. And the coolest part is, the God of the universe loves YOU. Just as you are. His grace is free, because He paid it all on the cross. Please, please don’t miss this!!!!
“I’m honored to fight this disease with God beside me (& all my people) and I’m excited & so ready to BEAT this thing in the name of Jesus!” Page said at the end of her post. “I love all of you, and to my ladies—check. your. girls.”
Page received an outpouring of support from others in the Nashville community, including Maddie & Tae’s Taylor Kerr, Brittney Kelley and Hayley Hubbard (married to singer-songwriters Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard, respectively), and more. Page, who celebrated her ninth wedding anniversary with husband Tyler Page in October 2025 and is a mother of two young children, is sister to Lauren Akins. See her post here:
