McLoughlin, a former NYPD police officer, was working security at the performance. One of Lambertâs bandmates invited McLoughlin to a show that evening, where he and Lambert quickly connected. They got married in an intimate, private ceremony in January 2019 outside of Nashville, Tennessee.
âWeâre kindred spirits, even though weâre from different parts of the country. I feel like I have such a strong support system with him, and he also tells me the truth,â Lambert said in a previous interview with COWGIRL Magazine. She added that McLoughlin âis so supportive. Iâm so lucky to have him as my husband. âŠYou know, itâs like having somebody at home who can bring you back to earth and really tell it to you straight, even if itâs sometimes hard to hear. Iâm so thankful that heâs willing to come on this journey with me, and this adventure, but also be a grounding spot and a home for me.â
