With half the country under snow and ice, a lot happened during this latest winter storm. But one of the things to emerge from the snowy weekend was a viral trend: making ice cream in the snow — and Thomas Rhett's wife, Lauren Akins, tried it out (but without much success).
In case you didn't know, you can make ice cream in the snowy and freezing cold weather. Just combine heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, salt, and whatever toppings you like in a bowl. Then, place the bowl in a hollowed out space in the snow, remove the bowl and cover the space in a layer of salt. Put the bowl back in the space and mix all the ingredients together, and you should be left with some ice cream.
Thomas shared footage of Lauren's attempt at the viral trend as he approached her while she was sitting in the snow, whisking away. As he got near her, he asked what she was doing, to which she laughed and replied, "I'm making ice cream." And when the country star asked her how long she had been outside whisking the mixture, all she could say was, "I'm hurtin'," while laughing. Finally, Lauren gave up and asked her husband, "Can you just help me up?"
