It's been six years of love, laughter and scares for Reba McEntire and Rex Linn, and the couple celebrated with a hilarious video shared to social media.
In the video, Reba is posing during a photoshoot while Rex slowly appears from behind the doorway and creeps toward her. Finally, an unsuspecting Reba sees her fiancé, and jumps as he scared her. She captioned the funny clip, "6 years together and he’s still scaring me every chance he gets! You know what they say about payback..."
Reba McEntire and Rex Linn’s relationship began long before romance entered the picture. The two first met in the early 90s while working in the entertainment industry and remained friends for decades, occasionally crossing paths through mutual friends and professional circles. At the time, both were building busy careers — McEntire as one of country music’s biggest stars and Linn as a familiar face on television and in film.
In early 2020, their friendship took a meaningful turn. After reconnecting while both were navigating personal transitions in their lives, McEntire and Linn began talking more regularly. What started as simple check-in calls soon became daily conversations, allowing their bond to deepen organically. By the fall of 2020, McEntire confirmed they were officially dating, marking a new chapter built on years of trust and familiarity.
Throughout 2021 and 2022, the couple became more visible together, attending events and supporting one another’s careers. McEntire openly shared how much she valued Linn’s kindness, humor, and emotional support, often describing their relationship as easy and grounded.
In the years since, McEntire and Linn have continued to grow together at a steady, intentional pace. And, in 2024 they got engaged on Christmas Eve.
