Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie and Ryan Seacrest (plus former runner-up Clay Aiken) appear in hilarious bloopers as they get ready for the upcoming season of American Idol.
American Idol shared the blooper reel on Instagram on Wednesday (January 14), “to make your day a little better.” The group is gearing up for another season of the long-running competition show. Bryan and Richie have served as judges since the show returned on ABC in 2018. Underwood is returning for her second consecutive year, after marking her 20th anniversary since her career-launching Idol victory. Seacrest crowned the country star the winner of the show’s fourth season in 2005.
ABC previously confirmed that American Idol’s ninth season (and 24th overall) will begin airing on Mondays this year. The new season will also bring its iconic Hollywood Week to Nashville for the first time. ABC previously shared that this year, “Hollywood Week: Music City Takeover will feature one round only as the hopefuls from all musical genres take the stage for a make-or-break performance, facing the biggest Hollywood Week cut in Idol history.”
The new season of American Idol kicks off on Monday, January 26. The show will air on ABC and stream on Hulu. Watch the bloopers here:
