Dierks Bentley extended his 11th studio record with new tracks on Friday (October 3).
“There’s always a few songs that don’t originally make the record and once it’s out you feel like you want to keep adding / making changes, and that’s what we did!” Bentley said in a caption on Instagram as he announced Broken Branches Extended. The country superstar added “IYKYK” and “All Night to Figure It Out” to the Broken Branches album with the new expansion.
The additions to the Broken Branches chapter are described as a “rowdy standout” and a “driving, dobro-laced” anthem, respectively. A press release issued earlier this week calls “IYKYK” a “punchy foot-stomper (that) comes out swinging with a spirited mandolin riff, courtesy of Charlie Worsham, that hits like a honky tonk anthem on overdrive.” “All Night to Figure It Out,” on the other hand, “sets the (acoustic) mood for a little romantic research. Burning with slow-grooving, stomp-and-clap desire, the dobro-drenched jangle rocker features a loose, casual sway, with Bentley’s easy vocal in no hurry for the moment to end,” the release states.
BROKEN BRANCHES EXTENDED Track List:
- Cold Beer Can (featuring Stephen Wilson Jr)
- Jesus Loves Me
- She Hates Me

- Broken Branches (featuring John Anderson and Riley Green)
- Off The Map
- Near You (featuring Miranda Lambert)
- For As Long As I Can Remember
- Don’t Cry For Me
- IYKYK
- All Night to Figure It Out
“The country music community has a lot of broken branches in it. That’s why we’re all here,” Bentley said in a statement when he announced Broken Branches earlier this year. “We want to do something a little bit different, and I think everyone sees themselves like that – certainly in country. This is the people’s music and it represents that spirit of individuality so well – it’s just about doing it our own way.
“I think that’s what’s special about country – we’re still making music in the studio with our buddies,” he added. The country artist worked with musicians Charlie Worsham, Jedd Hughes, Rob McNelley and Bryan Sutton, plus many other well-respected songwriters and producers on his 11th studio record. “We’re still getting together and talking about the songs and letting the musicians have a big say. It’s a good team - maybe a little messed up - but that’s the whole idea behind broken branches, so it just works.”
