According to People, the couple settled on the name Georgia for the state where they both met and grew up. While he had been born in Dothan, Alabama, the 28-year-old singer considers Valdosta, Georgia to be his home. The couple's daughter's middle name comes from Janna Ennis' middle name, Marie.
While 2019 and 2020 did not see any new releases from Ennis, the singer returned this year with an invigorated passion. April saw Ennis release his first single in nearly three years, "I Still Do," while "U-Turn" landed in June and "The Book" released in August. With his first child and new music, 2021 is proving to be one of Ennis' best years yet.
