Kacey Musgraves To Honor Late Country Legend Loretta Lynn At 2023 Grammys

Kacey Musgraves will pay tribute to Loretta Lynn at the 65th GRAMMY Awards, performing one of the late country music legend’s most beloved songs.

Lynn’s family previously announced that she’d “passed away peacefully…in her sleep at home at her beloved ranch in Hurricane Mills, [Tennessee],” the morning of October 4. She was 90.

Musgraves is set to perform “Coal Miner’s Daughter” in memory of the beloved Butcher Holler, Kentucky-born trailblazer. The song is one of Lynn’s most unforgettable classics. Her first-ever No. 1 single was “I’m A Honky Tonk Girl,” and her decades-long career continued with hits like “The Pill,” “”Don’t Come Home A- Drinkin,” “You Ain’t Woman Enough,” “Fist City,” “Still Woman Enough” and many others.

Musgraves’ is one of several tributes set for the GRAMMYs stage on Sunday evening (February 5), CBS announced on Wednesday (February 1). Others include Sheryl Crow, Mick Fleetwood and Bonnie Raitt, who will honor Christine McVie with a performance of “Songbird.” Maverick City Music will join Quavo to perform “Without You,” in memory of Takeoff.

The 65th GRAMMY Awards will recognize the best music moments of the year across all genres, including country music.
