Nipsey Hussle's Puma Collaboration Gets Release Date

The Marathon Continues.

Nipsey Hussle's collaboration with Puma will be released next month. On Monday (August 19) the late rapper's estate announced that the "collaborative capsule," which consists of "personally curated" clothing — everything from khakis to tracksuits — will hit stores on September 5th, nearly six months after Nipsey's death.

"Nipsey spearheaded this project from concept to final product over the course of last year, flying to meetings, reviewing samples, bringing in material references he liked, and most importantly ensuring that it reflected his style authentically with no compromise," read the Instagram statement. "Each detail from logo placement, fit, colorways, and materials was thoughtfully done. His signature style and DNA can be found in each garment that’s part of this collection from the khaki suit to the tracksuit."

Nipsey's team added that Puma has handled the "special" project "with the utmost care" to ensure it’s delivered exactly as Nip Hussle Tha Great envisioned it.

The Nipsey-Puma announcement came days after what would have been the late rapper and activist's 34th birthday. For his special day, Nipsey's longtime love Lauren London shared a heartfelt Instagram tribute to the greatly missed Ermias Asghedom, who was gunned down outside his clothing store on March 31.

"Today We celebrate You my beloved Today we honor you King We are to live in our highest vibrations today because that is how Nip lived his life," she captioned a series of photos, including one that showed her squatting beside his memorial. "We should encourage and inspire today because that is how Hussle lived his life . Today we should love and give truth because that is how He lived his life ."

"His Purpose still lives on with us all," Lauren continued. "Ermias wasn’t a sad soul. He was a powerful strong magical soul. Today is the day we lift up Long Live My other half My beloved King Ermias Nip Hussle The Great! I miss you I love you Still here holding it UP!"

The 34-year-old actress, who shares a two-year-old son with Nipsey, additionally posted a black-and-white throwback picture of the late legend, which she captioned, "The King!" Lauren also shared a photo of her and Nip to her Instagram Story.
